Goals of the Course

The Davos Faculty has put together a program of scientific sessions and practical exercises that meet the highest possible standards of the surgeons training program. The goal of the course is to acquire knowledge and to develop and improve practical skills in safe standard surgical techniques, both in conventional and laparoscopic surgery, as developed and practiced by an international faculty. This will also include training on virtual reality simulators.

Structure of Course

The course is divided into 3½ days open surgery on suture- and anastomosis techniques in the GI-tract, followed by 2½ days on laparoscopic surgery and techniques (please refer to above). Both parts are fully integrated in the whole course and cannot be booked separately. During given time slots troughout the whole course, exercises under the guidance of simulator instructors ar scheduled on virtual reality trainers.
