Welcome to the DavosCourse Alumni Program

Dear colleagues,
dear former participants, instructors, guest faculty, faculty and board members,
dear collaborating DavosCourse partners!

Since the first DavosCourse in 1984 more than 13.000 surgeons have been trained and educated.

The timeless idea of surgical education in a mixture of theory and practical hands-on training enabled and fascinated colleagues from all over the world in a cross generational and cross-national setting. Exchange and networking, persistent innovation in educational approaches and course modules, enthusiasm, motivation and collaboration of many excellent teachers together with supporting partners from industry, surgical and medical societies, Davos town and Davos Congress made this course unique!

In 2025 we start a new initiative with the DavosCourse Alumni program to stay in contact with the GI Foundation and support the training acitivities in GI surgery for and in underdeveloped, less resourceful countries.

Soon you will be able to choose one of four Alumni levels. Former participants, Faculty and Board members are futhermore invited to become Life Long Alumni Members.

Humanitarian Projects

The GI Foundation also supports and manages various humanitarian projects aimed at strengthening surgical training and continuing professional development.

Supported countries in participating free of charge in the DavosCourse:

  • Nepal
  • Uganda
  • Camerun
  • Nigeria
  • Bosnia

DavosCourse in other countries:

  • 2024
  • 2026

Interested?
If you are present at DavosCourse 2026 fill in the form at the registration desk until April 16th. We will contact you soon.
